  • ÖkoFEN Energy Box
  • CO2 emissions reduced by 98%

Installation of a ÖkoFEN Energy Box for the student village.

This is an ÖkoFEN Energy Box which is part of an EECA funded trial for most effective decarbonisation options at Waikato University.  This is in the Student Village and will be providing central heating and domestic hot water for the building.  It replaces an old gas boiler and gas hot water cylinders, reducing the CO2 emissions by 98% and cutting the running costs with wood pellets.  The ÖkoFEN Energy Box is entirely modular and there is enough space inside this single container to expand the boiler capacity and heat another three student buildings.
